Dominos free "emergency pizza" promotion backfired in spectacular fashion

When I went for a job I was offered a contract. Nothing elaborate. I was but an hourly grunt. I went there and asked for a job. They said yes. I said thank you. I expected nothing more than what they offered. Folk that get bent because a company doesn't offer perks to their liking are selfish individuals. I ate the free pizza. I never said a word except Thank You.

RudyBob. My dear friend. You are commenting on a site and forum that is mostly woke/greenies. You will never have a valid comment in their eyes. There is no middle ground. Heck, you can't even have a conversation anymore. Everything is put through a microscope looking for something to call racist or homophobic, etc.

Wife and I have done our best with our kids, but it's taken them till their mid 20's and working full time to realize that just maybe us older folks who have lived through a few generations, just maybe know some things. My oldest now 25 has gone from woke/green maximus prime, to being a perfect middle of the road, well thought out young lady.

It is good to care of the environment. It is good to respect the right to privacy and personal opinions. But she learned the most important thing of all. EVERYTHING in moderation. And, just maybe there is a higher power than human beings. Yes, by that I mean God.

My youngest is still transitioning from the liberal school indoctrination, thankfully to her older sister. I spend a lot of time with my daughters. I've even taught both of them how to rebuild engines. They like their cars that THEY paid for. They understand the need for petroleum products. They understand that when people have stuff handed to them, they have no respect for things.

You took some well thought girls and converted them to MAGA? Is that your point?

Maybe you saved them from believing everyone has a right to equal representation under the law.

If so, you failed them.

Woke is the enemy for both of us, but for different reasons. I hate far left wokeness just as much as far right conservatism.
But you have a very broad range of woke, so it just comes naturally to hate it with such a broad brush because most don't even know exactly WHAT they dislike or even why.

Being that you don't know me personally, I don't take offense at how incorrect you are about me and my family. You can't judge much by a few paragraphs. I personally sit about like you, hating the far right and far left. Sometimes I get more pissed off at the far right.

Considering our overwhelmingly positive history, I just wanted to tell you I was drawing no conclusions. I purposely did it by asking questions and saying "maybe" you meant something, and not just dumping on you or throwing out accusations.

Silly, maybe, but I did purposely do it that way, for that reason.

Not to mention, I also have daughters (3) and I know the last thing you need is to feel judged by some random stranger on the internets. Raising girls induces more than enough hair pulling by itself!

Actually my girls have been easy to raise. But they both have had female health issues that have been a real challenge. My 20 year old has to have a historectomy. . Has been basically debilitated since 16 with severe pain from indometrosis. Nothing has worked. Surgery, medicines. Nothing. And they wanted to wait as long as possible before doing the historectomy. Women have a whole lot more to deal with then men!

For me, its just been normal girl stuff! But what just scared me to death was the fact that I knew damn well there are boys their age out there that are just like I was at that age!

My 20 year old has to have a historectomy. . Has been basically debilitated since 16 with severe pain from indometrosis. Nothing has worked. Surgery, medicines. Nothing. And they wanted to wait as long as possible before doing the historectomy. Women have a whole lot more to deal with then men!

God, I hate when they have to go through that! My very best to her, please!

It appears to me that you are deeply involved with your family and a great man. Wish there were more like you. The work would be a better place. And well done to your daughters!
