Dual Operating Systems/Best Way?

Hello Guys

I have a pc with Vista running on it at the moment
It is an OEM so I do not have a disc

I want to put XPsp3 on my pc as well as having Vista on it

I have read numerous tutorials regards parting HDs and so and they all seem problematic!

I am probably looking to go down the Virtual pc route

So, just wanted to know which one to go for and if this is the best route to take?????
