DVD vision problems

Help!!!!

Until recently I was able to watch DVDs on my IBM Thinkpad. All of a sudden I can't watch them on any of the software packages that came with the computer (Inter Actual, Win DVD and Media Player 10). The weird thing is I get a different message or 'sympton' in each programme.

Media Player 10 plays the sound put not the vision

Inter Actual tells me that the DVD Navigator is missing (whatever that is)

Win DVD tells me that the screen resolution and/or colour depth are wrong (I haven't reset the res or colour - and it doesn't seem to let me anyway!)

If anybody has got any ideas I'm all ears.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Look in your device manager, for any yellow exclamation or question marks.

If you find any. Reinstall the drivers for that device.

Thanks Howard. I tried that already - I couldn't see any yellow '!' anywhere.
