I kind of get the impression (although I could be wrong) that it was probably EA that forced them to push this out early.
You are correct, EA forced them to release to early.
I have never pre-ordered a game anyway, I see every time how big of a mistake that is if you want a game that works.
Very true, I refuse to pre-order also (Crysis2 was the biggest let down of the century), annoyingly though my friends love to pre-order stuff for me
Well ive played it quite a bunch lately and hoenstly yea the rubber banding and the hit detection is a bit messed up in many regards which is causing alot of frustration for me at least. As for people crashing, I have not experienced that issue much at all as some people claim it happens constantly. Since its launch, I have been playing and the most time ive spent at one time playing was a 3 hour session and I did not see one crash. I have had it crash 3 times since I started playing and those were all server side cut out, not the "BF4 has stopped responding" issue. So I dont know what the problem is revolving around because for me it does not seem to happen.
Yeah I don't really get it any more either, however before the client side patch it was pretty bad, 3 hours is kinda a short time to play though, try over 4 and you would get it. The thing is, Hit detection and rubber banding destroy it's core mechanics being a first person shooter, that's why it is so frustrating.
Yeah, BF4 has its issues. But a new kickbutt game engine will take some tuning/patches before its as stable as users would like. I have no problems with that.
People, this isn't another shooter made from the same engine we've seen before a thousand times. The possibilities are endless and I can't wait to play BF4 after most/all the bugs are found.
But it is, it's technically the same engine we've seen since Bad Company, just like Call of Duty it has been improved over the years, UNLIKE CoD though, it has actually be improved MAJORLY, not just added some small thing you barely notice. Whole point is though, if your going to release a FIRST PERSON SHOOTER, make sure the guns, bullets and hit detection works, That's not teething issues, that is somewhere along the lines DICE have concentrated on the Graphics and "levelution" too much and not what it's all about, shooting people :/
That's what happens when you go up against a powerhouse like Call Of Duty and try to one up them. You end up with egg in your face. Next time try taking them on by making a better game, not getting out before them. The potential this game had to give COD a run for its money was lost thanks to all of these bugs.
Well hold up there! CoD is still the same thing since 2007, Battlefield was great, shrunk and got smaller and now grown again, at least it's changing. Anyway Battlefield has "one-uped" CoD since CoD even existed, just it wasn't on the same platforms or "popular" like CoD grew to be.
