Edits and file attachments

I was on the homepage today and I made a mistake in my message here and there is no edit option? So I had to make another comment to correct my vital mistake (otherwise they would have been confused) also I noticed there was no file attachment which isn't a big issue though, also does file uploading support video uploading?
