Hello fellow TS'ers,

During last year's holiday season, CCP (the EVE Online developer) has sent a unique 60d trial key to all active subscribers, myself included.
Since I don't have anything to do with it and it expires on the 24th of this month, I figured someone here might be interested in finally getting into EVE Online. :D

How to qualify:
  • Tell me why you want to play EVE. What do you find interesting about it?
  • Have you played it before? Any interesting experiences to share?
  • Will you be sticking to it? (subscribing)

I'll pick someone at random, but keep in mind that the key is only valid for a new account and all trial restrictions apply.
The key itself expires on the 24th of this month, so hurry!

Hello !

I'am strongly looking for a 60 days trial key for EVE :D I hope I'm not too late for yours ^^

- Tell me why you want to play EVE. What do you find interesting about it?

I've been playing a lot of MMORPGs (T4C, Anarchy Online, CoH, CoV, Warhammer online, Champions online, WoW (beuaarrr...), etc.) and I've always been fed up with them (except for Anarchy online and T4C ^^ ) because the game became kind of repetitous and I never feeled like I had a free gameplay. I mean, when I reached a certain level, I always instantly started to feel just like pressing keyboards buttons to lauch attacks, again, again, run here, run there, loot this... This became boring.

For the "cool story bro", I was at the cinema with a friend of mine, who's a gamer too and we were discussing about MMOs before the movie. He asked me if I ever tried EVE, which he played for a long time. I used to see ads for EVE on internet, but I always thought it was a browser game, and thus I never tried it. It just told me a story about something that happened to him in the game (he was carrying freight, went through a gate, got caught by pirates, scramblers, etc) and that instantly gave me a vision of that game which was confirmed when I first tried it with a 14 days trial. (Though it was a bit a busy period for me so I couldn't really play the full 14 days trial... :/ )

I loved this game, about almost everything : UI, community, gameplay, possibilities, freedom of action, graphism, atmosphere, realism...

I would like to use that 60 days trial key to experience a bit more because I'm kind of used to MMOs feeling good at the beggining and finally beeing all the same after reaching a certain level. I'm quite sur this is a wonderful game, in addition with the new stuffs they are preparing (getting out of the ship with your character, which is atm limited (according to what I saw) to the docking station lounge.

- Have you played it before? Any interesting experiences to share?

Yes, as a trial. Well, I don't know if it's an experience, but I finally totally approve EVE's skill learning system... It's just amazingly realistic and well made... I liked to spend long moments checking certificates and adding the right stuffs to the learning timeline, and wake up the next day to see if I got my stuffs done :D

- Will you be sticking to it? (subscribing)

There is a strong propability that I subscribe, because the friend who told me about it is quite up to come back to it, and I also converted a WoW player friend to it who was a bit fed up with this kind of MMO, and he is really enjoying it :D

I hope I'm not too late and that my answers will convince you :D

Regards :)

Glad you liked it!

Unfortunately the key has expired, so no more 60d trial key, but I can still give a normal friend invite (21d trial).
PM me with your email if you're interested.

I'm kind of used to MMOs feeling good at the beginning and finally being all the same after reaching a certain level.
The good part about EVE (or bad, depends on how you look at it) is that there isn't exactly a time when you can say "Hey I'm so high level now I can own everyone." since you always find new stuff to do and your skills and ship won't keep you safe from a good ganking if you don't pay attention.

You don't actually get a special key, you just get an invite click the link there and then you'll be prompted to make a new account.
After that's done, just download the client, login, and you'll have a 21d trial account (from the moment you activated).

In short, no.
