How about this logic. Millions of cases, small amounts of death equals a case fatality rate that is so small it's stupid.
I'll do this for you. I'll get checked for anti-bodies against Covid-19 in my system. I'm 100% sure that I have them since this virus is Sooooooo contagious and deadly and yet I'm still alive.
And after I test positive for antibodies in my system that specifically target Covid-19 I want my antibodies passport/badge awarded to me so that I can wear it on my chest proudly.

Prior to this, there was the "breakthrough treatment" for, "restless leg syndrome". The majority of us, myself included wondered, "shouldn't they be trying to cure cancer"?

Still even the most "RICO" oriented companies get it right and do some good once in a while.

As to the root argument of this thread, SARS 2 is a zoonotic virus, which jumped from bats to humans. I don't think we actually know if there was an intermediate specie or species in the process.

The more logical assumption is that it came from the Wuhan lab, where it was being cultured, but not, "manufactured"

That lab was set up to study bats and their virus. So far they found 500 different bats with 500 different virus and the research is still going on. The only other species that have that many virus could be your common field mouse.
Why you do it in China and not the US because it is far cheaper. Your labor do not change jobs. They are lock in their field of work. If you start at that lab analyzing bat poop then you will retire from that job having the title of bat pooper.
Sure beats working in the field of planting rice.

And yes, getting Covid does leave you with antibodies... but we don't have enough evidence to suggest that this leaves you immune to Covid - remember, it's mutating quite quickly (and will continue to do so until we all get vaccinated), so there is no guarantee, even if you are immune now, that you will be next year...

That's why these RNA vaccines are so amazing - they can be tailored or "edited" so that as the disease mutates, they can be adapted to continue to provide protection.

So basically Facebook and Twitter have been accidentally censoring the truth from us, though unfounded at the time, and labeled it as misinformation. They’ve banned people based on a rule that was supposed to protect us from lies, and instead ended up hiding the truth. This is why tech companies, fact checking companies, and media companies should not label misinformation or engage in any similar practice. They may intend to be informing us of the truth, but they don’t even have the truth and are incapable of effectively distinguishing misinformation from truth. This is not the first time this has happened and it’s become more frequent as they’ve put in more effort into this futile and harmful endeavor.

The problem is is that not even the scientific community is certain of the origin of COVID-19. And the problem with Fakebook is that it is so popular that many people think that because Joe Schmoe said something on Fakebook, it must be true which itself is a logical fallacy.

Fakebook is and never was a news site. If anything, it is the modern-day equivalent of the gossip that used to originate, as was said in days past, around the water cooler. Nothing said in Fakebook is necessarily backed by fact.

While Fakebook should not necessarily have deleted dubious posts, it is the Fakebook user's responsibility, IMO, to keep one thing in mind when they waste their time of Fakebook. Everything posted there is of dubious value at best.

Why people believe posts on Fakebook is probably more consistent with why people believe Tribal knowledge. It lacks one thing, IMO, in that Tribal cultures depended on -- their information being true for their survival. Anyone posting on Fakebook OTOH, is probably more likely to be looking for followers as it will give them some sort of glorification.

Medical misinformation especially cannot be enforced well as most knowledge in science is theory and not law, meaning even scientists are not claiming it as fact. I can claim that Pluto is a planet, and I bet one day the astronomy community will flip on that very claim to agree with me. The reason why is because the underlying science supporting the definition of a planet is a theory of how our solar system formed. There will be additional evidence collected in regards to how planets form that may no longer support the current theory and change the official definition of a planet. Should I be censored from saying “Pluto is a Planet” if there was some reason that it would be harmful for people to believe me and have views that go against the grain?

Antibodies does not necessarily equate to "immune".... it simply means the body now has something to FIGHT the disease... there's no evidence that you are permanently immune to Covid simply because you have some antibodies...

The main comparison here - which I'm loathe to add as people often love to compare them for other purposes - is the flu. When you get the flu, your body develops antibodies... but funny thing... you're not immune to the flu the next year!

Viruses mutate - and Covid is no exception!! The vaccines we currently have from Moderna and Pfizer have proved effective against most of the variants (Astra Zeneca to a lesser extent) but they may need to be "tinkered with" over the months and years to come... much like how you need to take a flu shot every year.

Now, the flu shot is only about 50% effective, depending on the year (I still STRONGLY recommend getting it, as do most medical professionals), but the Covid vaccines are over 90% effective. The more people immune, the less chance the disease has to spread and mutate....
