Fast User Switching Problems

I have read most of the threads and was not able to find my exact problem.

I have fast user switching enabled, but when ever I try to switch to a new user it just goes back to the start screen where all of the account names are located. I have to log off before I can log on to another name. It didn't use to be this way. I used to have 4 people logged on at one time and just switch between users. Can anyone help me get this back to the way it was?

I'll asume you are using the welcome screen?

Try ticking the "use fast user switching box" apply, untick, apply and tick and apply again.

make sure the service is set to Automatic
