Chrome issue fixed?

You're not the only one having issue with Windows updates. Happened to myself as well.
This method always worked for me. It works for any Windows update: https://www.windowscentral.com/use-media-creation-tool-update-windows10

Chrome issue remains unfixed, it says the file is saved in SecurePreferences. If it gives me issues I'll wipe my chrome user sync information, as that's where it seems to be stored, though I might just ignore it to be honest, it doesn't seem to be actively doing anything, it might be a remnant from when I accidentally installed the Conduit toolbar and removed that.

And okay, I'll use the flash drive to update Windows per your instructions. I actually was able to get the April update working, but anything past that returns an error code.

Most likely Chrome sync is the issue.

April update was a cumulative update so all previous updates should be included but if there is something missing give Media Creation Tool a shot.

Windows MCT fixed the update issue. I backed up my Chrome passwords etc. and wiped my user info. MBAM doesn't pickup conduit anymore.
