Four-day work week pilot was a resounding success

I too would be fine with 10hr work days if it was to enjoy a 4 day work week.

As for the issue of coverage, I imagine companies moving to a 4 day schedule will do what the service industry already does in many instances; staggered or shifted scheduling.
right but that works for larger companies. the staggering

Oh, wow talk about a lazy world now days. I do hope they also did not expect to make the same amount of money as they did when they were working a 5-day 40-hour week and with one day missing now only get 32 hours I do hope the companies involved were smart enough to not give in and give them same pay as for when they were working 40 hour 5-day weeks. I do know that if I was a boss and some employees want the same pay but work less hours, I would tell them to go get bent.

I currently work 6 days a week sometimes 7 and why do I do this mainly because I like having money.

Sad times. I love being a slave to the system.
Firstly this is an experiment as I see it, a test to see the benefits.
So yes 32hrs at full pay...
Which btw makes you look stupid, I work 6 days cause I like money.
And companies like you, over working yourself, when they can probably pay you more for less time.
Also, quality over quantity. If you are tired you can make mistakes, so your quality of work suffers, you could be having to do rework which costs the company more, so those extra overtime Saturday is pointless to both parties.

But I mean we could discuss what you do for a living, or any job, by any human, and we can break it down that it's all a waste of time. It's all pointles. Yay nihilism.
Because nurses, and doctors most of the time prolong suffering, medicine and vaccines, healthier eating and understanding make people live longer, but for what, for the governing people to have taken massive bonuses, and oh where did the pension money go? Oh did we need more of that, oh darn Mrs Jones for living to 92 the old bat.
Seriously look at any job, the amount of waste it creates, from manufacturing to its inevitable landfill end.
If a 4 day week helps slow it all down people's may notice, like they did during COVID, the world's better without all the cars , and planes, and the humans darting about...
Well done though for having a job paying tax, to buy things, and keep the war machine chugging, we salute you. I just hope you have all Madonna's albums you material girl you.

Oh and when many jobs do get given to machines, like the theory of 2050 half the world out of work (I think they got that one wrong but it's been said so let's go with it) are you gonna call those people lazy? Pretty sure you're gonna wish those Futurama suicide booths had made it out of alpha testing.

The company I work for moved to 4.5 day week (Friday afternoon off) for all staff during the pandemic in late 2020 and continued it ever since. No pay reduction, just half day extra time off each week. Its worked amazingly well with a company of 1500+ employees.

All I have seen here is excuses. So, yea if they want to only work for 32 hours then they shall be paid for 32 hours work and not 40 hours of work. As for Covid times it was pretty sad everyone so scared to leave their homes in fear catching the nasty Covid. The media and our governments had everyone so scared to leave their homes. Then they started giving out all fo that free money and everyone was so happy to sit at home and collect it.

Then when it was over, we now have people wanting to sit at home and either keep collecting money or work from home in their bathrobes pretty sad really. I can't really reply to much more of this because it just got weird and way off topic in your responses.
I personally hate taxes as much as the next person but it's how things are, and all taxes are is a legal way to take some of our money from us, so they get their share of our hard-earned cash. I work so many days so I can provide for my family and make sure they are taken care of. If that makes me stupid, then so be it I guess I'm stupid for catring for my loved ones as you put it.

4 day weeks at full pay isn't a problem for them, it's just more money per hour. And that is great for someone's mental health.
In theory if it took off every job would have to follow or they would lose staff.
Laws would pass I assume and you too would get that money for less yourself.
But as far as being off topic, everything is linked sadly.
If we don't change how we think completely, future generations will have eaten and drank so much micro plastic they'll give birth to Lego.

I get what you're saying and agree with some of it actually. I may come off as a hot head sometimes maybe. I guess I'm tired of sitting back taking a look at what the world is trying to do, and I shake my head in dismay. Most of it is just a bunch of rich guys trying to make themselves richer and they do not care who they step on to get mooore money.

Take our government they carbon tax us to death in the name of saving the planet and yet all that money they take in is used to fuel the jets and pay for big dinners when they trying to impress the world.

Our own PM just got slapped because his family spent $12,000 on household grocery bill (used payers' money) but I totally do not know what it was for as all I thought was here, I am working like crazy person feeding my family and our clown PM is flying around the world and buying their food with our tax money most of which is brought in from carbon taxes.

My take is if these Government's cared about the planet maybe they would stop flying around the world everyday polluting the earth with waste jet fuel and pickup up the phone and video conference more I hear Zoom works well for that.

Anyways now I'm way off topic as well. lol

No you're not of topic, many of your thoughts are mine too. It's all linked.
I guess it's where you are standing when looking at a topic, the angle you see it from.
But it's not about lazy.
Take the work from home. Google save money on not paying for offices, but say Bob had to take a pay cut because he doesn't need the travel expenses. He's working from home, his electricity went up.
A 4 day week is a good thing. More family time. Since the internet the world and 24/7. Greed through the roof. Rihanna work work work work. No play.
Families suffer, kids are lazy and more violent than ever copying America, babysat by YouTube. The world is heading to disaster, faster than ever. It needs to slow down.
You say off topic but think how do you create a new better world, when corrupt people who just want to be rich, who allow rich to stay rich, who sell drugs and guns, and false hopes in the background, human trafficking. If you think any government isn't involved in that shady crap.
How do you build a new way of life when they can't let go of money.
Money doesn't even exist. It's like religion, just a form of control. Slavery by Disney.
