Frozen mouse

Can anyone help when playing games my mouse and screen freeze always when mouse curser is dead centre of screen.Have looked to see if Ihave any of the virus files described in a previous thread Herobf2rank andBATTLEFIELD2 but dont seem to be there.I have a fairly new middle range Mesh PC with Windows xp.I am hoping someone can help.Thanks

i'd try installing the latest graphics drivers and game patches.
