Game gets slow

hi everyone i'm new here....

i'm having this problem that whenever i'm playing PES2009 or Burnout Paradise or any game it gets slow after sometime and then after a minute or two it returns back to normal.......


Is it because that i have also installed oracle10g and Microsoft visual studio 2008
My config:

OS - Windows Vista Ultimate

Processor - AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6400+

Motherboard - ASUS M2N-VM-DH

RAM - 4GB (Kingston 1gb x 2 and Corsair 2gb x 1) both 800MHZ

Graphics Card - GE Force XFX 8600GT

You probably have stuff running in the background, like an AV program or torrent downloads or something.

Also, your video card may be part of the problem, if you are running both games at high detail settings that is.

thx rage it did help...... but, it's still slowing a bit in between........ the amount of time it used to take to get slow has increased but it still happens...... i closed the torrents and video playing....
