Hey guys, I heard this is the spot to take my troubles.. I have a Gateway DX4710-09 desktop that freezes randomly usually, for about a minute. I have done everything I can think of, including - -Updating Drivers -Registry Cleaning -Disabling all non-MS services I ran event viewer and this seems to be the event that comes back at the same time the computer freezes. Windows (1936) Windows: A request to write to the file "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows\MSS.log" at offset 85504 (0x0000000000014e00) for 33792 (0x00008400) bytes succeeded, but took an abnormally long time (118 seconds) to be serviced by the OS. This problem is likely due to faulty hardware. Please contact your hardware vendor for further assistance diagnosing the problem. Is it really a hardware issue? Do I need to contact gateway?
