Gauges in SATA cables

Hi I am new to SATA drives and got 2 SATA cables. One it 26AWG and other is 30AWG. Does it matter what the gauge to use for SATA drives?
 
Do you think they would manufacture and sell SATA cables that are not suitable for connecting SATA devices? :p

If you are not stretching the SATA standard to its limits, then it doesn't matter which cable you use.
