Goodbye to the blue bird: Elon Musk announces new logo for Twitter

Imagine being so stupid as to flush all the brand identity Twitter had while simultaneously running the platform into the ground. Astonishingly stupid. Then to also have #TransWomenAreConMen trending at #2? What advertiser wants to put ads in that hashtag?

Twatter needs to go the way of the dinosaur along with most social media and be buried.

Like Forest Gump says, "Stupid is as stupid does." 🤣

Au contraire, was there ever a man so obsessed with how he is perceived? Why else would he have bought Twitter? Sure wasn't for value.
Besides Zuck? probably not. But can't deny the man's success with businesses that he has invested in.
Zuck just copies every other business model and hopes for the best.

Considering Musk tried to back out of the $44B deal his big mouth cornered his pocketbook into, there is a very real loss to his finances which he personally feels. Also losing 59% Ad revenue YOY is a loss.

lol, do you feel better about yourself now?
And yet, people still use it and talk about it, now he can tie all his other businesses with it. Pretty smart actually.
How many successful businesses have you invested deeply in or started? Being on here, probably none.

Loads of people "still use" lots of things like CDs and DVDs but they are a dead format. Twitter's trend is going the wrong way. The 59% advertising revenue drop, is a very bad trend if you want your business to make money and advertising dollars is how you do it.

Lol and you just can't stay on topic but instead let your feelings go for the personal again, huh?

These things are not the only measure of a person's character, and society has been aware of that since long before Charles Dickons dreamed up Ebenezer Scrooge!

Think of all the good Musk could have done with his fortune instead of blowing half of it on Twitter to use as his personal narcissism vehicle while running it into the ground?

Same could be said about Zuck and his Meta research. Musk did stop all the censorship in twitter which is a good thing. Just because you don't agree with something doesn't mean it should be silenced. Facebook on the other hand... and this platform also censors like crazy, say one thing against their "policy" and they delete comments lol

I can't see it running into the ground, we will see soon. So far, the re-branding has cause loads of people to talk about it. Any publicity is good publicity. Not to mention, they didn't even pay for the new logo.

Musk will be judged on his own merits or failures, it's got nothing to do with Zuckerberg or anyone else.

Regardless whether you regard it as censorship, or moderation of misinformation and hate-speech, it's removal by Twitter has advertisers turning their backs. Might be good for you, depending on your point of view, but it's unquestioningly a disaster for the platform.

Here are the results of the lack of censorship. https://www.healthsystemtracker.org...s in the U.S., September 2021 to January 2022

I feel that the X is just his childhood dream that feels really dumb to change if you already have a twitter. Why not just make a new X.com or something. But what do I know, I dont have 200billion xD

I would had changed the logo of The Social Network Formerly Known as Twitter into a penis, with foreskin. How do they call it in Afrikaans, piel?
