GTA VI's rumored $100 price tag sparks debate among gamers and analysts

Would you pay $100 for it?
Absolutely not. I'm not paying more than $30. Why you all ask? The monthly subscription fees. If Rockstar and TakeTwo think this is a good business model, they need to pull their head from their butts.

GTA is so bloated. Personally I prefer games that are on-rails focused 20-30 hours of non-repetitive fun. Not these huge open world games with a 20 hour storyline packed out with 100's of hours of hugely repetitive find and fetch nonsense.

Not with you there. Some people like non-linear game worlds. GTAV was kinda like that. It had a progressing story arc, but the player can take each mission/chapter at their own pace and do whatever they want inbetween.

After killing RDO I don't thrust Rockstar anymore, GTA Online was always full with cheaters and they never did anything about it. Idc paying $100 if it's gonna keep having updates like V did, which was awesome, but I hope other devs don't get on this train cuz most games charged $60 nowdays aren't really good and are full of microtransactions.

Ugh. They can give it away for free for all I care. I won't be getting it. Ever. Just bored to death of GTA and have been for a very, very long time. But they won't make anything else because it sells ridiculously well.

GTA V is still like this. Here in Canada on steam I see it a lot of the time for $79.99 CAD and I look at that and lmao off. Other times it is $12.99 -$14.99 on a steam sale. I picked up mine for $12.99 CAD about 7 years ago and got another copy for free from Epic same time or near the same time.

The same will happen to GTA 6 once on the PC after the first 6-8 months they will start doing sales on the game but I think the lowest price will be $24.99 CAD at which point I will buy it.

Let's just hope that the game is better than we expect it to be with an online component far better than anything we've played up till now.

I've dropped $100 on less.

Battlefield 2042

Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat 1

If this delivers: they can take my money.

100$ is nothing in today's gaming... happy to pay. Just gime my instruction book with!

Back in the 80s/90s games were expensive as **** relative to wage.

So all u biatches complaining. Your soft.

In 98 I payed 60$ for FreeSpace 2 for PC. Goldeneye for n64 on clearance was 50$. Recently sea of stars on release digital around 60$. Prefer physical over digital but willing to fork out for good games if it keeps the developers churn!

People pay $70 for utterly broken unfinished messes so they'll pay $100 for GTA6 in whatever state and everyone knows it. Can it be worse than the Trilogy release?

Consumers determine the cost of goods. For example: At launch if no one bought it for $100 then they would lower the price because they want to sell their goods.

If its good content non woke BS. I'd gladly shell out $100....
the problem is the precedent its setting for rest of gaming world.

Dckheads like Ubisoft will justify Rockstars decision to release more 'AAAA' titles for $100-150.

I think Rockstar will do a 5 days early access edition for $100, which 90% of people will buy.
Retail it for $70, dont rock the boat.

I've never played GTA 4 or 5 and don't have any interest in playing this either (let alone paying for it). Just not my kinda game I guess, but to each their own.

If you like that sort of thing it's worth it as it has hundreds of hours of playability. Normal games don't have that.
