The trouble with that is, at many sites you hit, a "paywall", (of sorts) stating, "drop your ad blocker or else", accompanied by a grayed our screen.

True. To those sites I offer the middle finger. They can go eff themselves..

This episode could have easily been prevented by wiping the servers involved with the purchased domain. So maybe your anger should be directed at at an either lazy, incompetent, or yes, perhaps malicious, IT staff.

I couldn't care less who's to blame. Unacceptable garbage is unacceptable.
