Help please, laptop won't turn on

I have a toshiba laptop L305-S5955. When I press the power button, the power light comes on but nothing happens. There is no image on the screen and it makes no noises. The battery and charging light come on normally. The light near the power light all the way to the right blinks. I don't know if it did before or not but I'm wondering what this button means. It's a rectangle with a corner missing. Any help or advice would be appreciated!!!!

Try taking out the battery, disconnect the power cable, press the power button... Then put the power cable in without the battery and see if it starts.

yes remove battery and power cable and put power again it ll works
