HP Pavilion Freezing after Login

Our Hp Pavilion m9426f is freezing after logging in. Sometimes it freezes right away. Other times, it freezes after a few minutes. Last week we installed a new graphics card and Autodesk Product Design Suite 2014 Trial. Please advise. Thanks.

This computer is old enough (2008) to have a failing power supply

We replaced the power supply last year. The computer is running now. Not sure if this did the trick, but we vacuumed the dust out of the fan. Thanks to the posts by Julio Franco on Dec 1, 2007 and the referenced "Troubleshooting Sudden Reboots/crashes" by Don Naugal on Feb 16, 2006, we were able to identify other potential problems.

Our graphics card requires 20 amps on the +12 volt rail, however the power supply only has 10 amps. Right now the computer is working fine. Should we be concerned? Will the lower amperage damage the graphics card or cause crashes in the future?
