Infections and Usb Flash

  1. Hi

    My friend has a badly infected and possably hacked computer and hsi family is getting so worided and disconnected there internet and is real scared maybe to scared :hotouch: :unch:

    im gonig to bring my flash drive to his house with the works AVG, ZA free and HJT. he has macafee whitch is crap imo, i should remove macafee pririor to installing AVG and the works right

    now if he has a contagus virous could it put it self on my flash drive without me knowing
    ie it deciseies itself and then when i plug it in it will infect me

    just wondering

    It would have to be a seriously sneaky virus to do that.If your worried about it.Scan it before you plug it in/remove it.

    well as what he desribes it as, it sounds real " sneaky " maybe ill plug in my old 500 celey pop it in there scan it and then go from there

    Doesn't your flash drive have a "read only" switch?

    nope not as far as i can see, its an OCZ RALLY 512mb
