Internet Explorer Popups in Firefox

I have been using firefox for a while and only recently gotten pop ups from very random websites, How do I get rid of them?

Kevin, what do you mean by IE pop-ups?>If you use Firefox as the default browser, you will need to go into Internet Options (through Tools or Control Panel)> Programs tab> UNCHECK 'Internet Explorer should check to see if it's the default browser'> Apply> OK.

If it is still checked, IE is going to keep popping up asking you if you want it to be the default.
