Is it Possible to Direct Your Webcam To Your Desktop?

You know when your on msn or whatever and your doing webcam with yours friends, i was wondering is it possible to use a program to direct the webcam to your desktop so when you are trying to show your friend on webcam, they'll see your desktop

if you didn't get what is said, please post and help, im just basically trying to get a desktop viewer, so instead of someone seeing my face on webcam, they see my computer desktop, seeing what i am doing

Hmm, that's strange. But I like questions I've never heard of before.

Well you could point the webcam to your Desktop (not sure on the quality of the picture though (light off ofcourse)

But trying to somehow share your Desktop (viewing at least) online (to a chat board) is not a good idea. So, No.

so is this such thing? cause i've tried some program called webcam simulator

but it only plays a video on your webcam which is pretty neat
