Java not working

Yeah I'm trying to go to a website that uses java and it says that it is either unavailable or outdated so I went and downloaded the most recent java and it still did not work. I've made sure that it is enabled in my web browser, I've restarted my computer multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled java multiple times but nothing works. Can anyone please help me out with this?

Is your system 32 bit or 64 bit? If it is 32 bit, a 64 bit edition won't work. If you DO have 64 bit and are trying to install 64 bit edition, try the 32 bit.

There are TWO components in Java; the PC Java JRE (Java Runtime Env) and the plug-in.
