I just want to know... What does this have to do with technology?
Everything and nothing at the same time.

The whole thing is silly if you think about it, they used us a power source? You know there are other animals right, like cows? They could have also just idk used real life chains instead of some intricate mind game reality world. Or physically disabled our bodies from birth. I loved The Matrix, but it needs a better premise.

Matrix 4, free the cows!
Well I loved the Lion King, but the premise was pretty absurd. These moveis are fantasies! People use them to escape for 2 hours and be taken to another world...a premise reflecting "reality" is hardly what they'd want or we'd all be watching "realistic" but boring as hell movies.
Yup, I'm going to call that statement ridiculous. I'm even going to go as far as to say this it's ridonkulous. This is ridiculous.
Regardless what anyone says: the second movie was a mess.
The third movie was a bigger mess.
Pure Gold (especially in german)
Keep on hating on the follow ups. Thats all internet shenanighans. People love the trilogy. It was a perfect chabad fantasy. Worthy of a Shaver Mystery.
I guess Matrix 4 will take us to the moon and beyond.
Whatever... Move along now. Enjoy your day.Yup, I'm going to call that statement ridiculous.
I guess the allegory of the movie went way over your head. The whole thing is silly if you think about it, they used us a power source? You know there are other animals right, like cows? After death comes rebirth.
When Agent Smith transfered his digital mind into the brain of a human and converted his presence into the physical world outside of the digital one, that was phantastic.
He became a virus and infected the entire matrix, he would have proceeded to do the same in other dimensions.
Wasn't Tron and the Lawnmoaner man movie about the same?
Based on the rules of the movie, Mr. Smith was able to "get out" of the matrix by transferring his consciousness into a human. Thing is:
#1 That doesn't work with anyone not connected to the matrix
#2 In the Real world there are only so many bodies to infect - and not enough food or energy resources to keep them alive
#3 Neo destroyed Oracle Smith and by doing so the rest of the Smith clones.
I don't know whether to say "Great!" or "Ugh!"
The sequels were an absolute disaster. After the "screwing with your mind" concept of the first movie, the sequel SHOULD have been an attempt by The Architect to convince Neo it was all "just a bad dream" and Neo spending the movie trying to figure out which "reality" was the real one... another mind F.
You don't see the obvious next step? The first movie screwed with your mind to ask yourself whether "reality" was real.Oh really it should have been that? Hard to believe by how bad it sounds. Its completely illogical as well. The architect has no interest/reason in convincing Neo afaik.
You don't see the obvious next step? The first movie screwed with your mind to ask yourself whether "reality" was real.
The logical next step was to make Neo (and the audience) wonder which reality was the real one. If the "digital" version of reality was indeed real, *whom* do you suppose was more motivated to convince Neo it was all just a dream than The Architect?
Go back to your realistic soaps. They should call it Matrix Star Wars Trek since they are all garbage
Whatever... Move along now. Enjoy your day.
I agree with you mostly. I enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd movies for pure entertainment, they just didn't catch the essence of what made The Matrix great for me (and hell of I know what the 'essence' was but they just didn't feel the same).I don't understand - like Highlander surely there was only one Matrix movie.....
(la la la la - not listening)
You assume they were only being used for batteries. If instead their minds were being used for processing power as well then the relatively low calorie rate used in near sleep would be a price worth paying.Searched entire this page, didn't find the word "battery". So... of all the people here, nobody is concerned that machines would use humans as batteries?
Why is it so important? Because machines that stupid, to try using humans as batteries, and create entire virtual world just for that purpose, would die before finishing the matrix. Since humans consume more than they give.
Wachowsky brothers may be good for directing action scenes, but when it comes to basic logic, they are below preschool level. Although, seems it pretty good reflects their target audience.
Try searching for "power" instead. You assume they were only being used for batteries. If instead their minds were being used for processing power as well then the relatively low calorie rate used in near sleep would be a price worth paying.
