Well... So it seems like we are just the same as was in the dark ages....
Did they just stop teaching history entirely in school? In Medieval Europe -- long after the Dark Ages -- the average family was essentially continually malnourished, and on the brink of starvation. And this is starvation in the real sense of the term. It doesn't mean "I went to bed a little hungry." It means "I watched my entire family die before my eyes, just before I followed them."

The primary meal was bread, or some sort of grain-based porridge --- that's it. Meat and fresh vegetables were for the wealthy. And during one of the many famines that regularly killed several percent of the population, they were driven to tactics like grinding human bones into meal to bake that bread (such as the 1590 Famine in France).

This was Europe, essentially the best place to live at the time. Africa, the Americas, most of Asia -- were far, far worse.

Large portion of the world "farmers" produce only grains to feed livestock... If that land was used to produce real food ...
Beef, chicken, pork, and veal are "real" foods. Who told you otherwise?
