Logitech MX/VX Revolution Receiver Question

Would the wireless dongle for a VX revolution work for the MX Revolution?

I am looking to buy a VX for the laptop, I have an MX already for desktop but the dongle has gone missing. So it would be useful if I could use the dongle for the VX on my desktop when I am not using my laptop.
