Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 installing problem

HI, I tried installing Visual C++ 2005 x86 today, but when I open the installer it starts running the setup, and when finish gathering required information, the window closes and nothing happens after that, I checked the programs list and I don't see it there. I'm running on windows 10 how do I install it? Also, I noticed the name of the window is called Microsoft Visual C++ 2055 Redistributable - x86 8.0.50727.42 False. does the False have anything to do with my problem?

Had similar problem years ago. Somehow it was half installed in a half-***ed way - and it couldn't finish or start any more.
Had to entirely remove C++. Cold boot, cleanup files (Thanks CCleaner). Fresh files and install worked for me.
