Mozilla has finally released a 64-bit version of Firefox to its stable channel

I moved from netscape navigator , I think, over to ff way back. I liked the ability to customize and use open source-3rd party free or paid ware. I found helpful add ons and plug ins as time moved on. But now it is no go . ff /mozilla is anti plug in or add ons. I am not any software or code literate person. I know the few things which made the browser more functional. like: play videos from paid and free sites like tcm, netflix or hulu range of companies. I liked to be able to adjust text sizes or page zoom easily. but these things are getting phased out with out any alternatives in place. this bothers me. it is not a user driven tool anymore. it is a take it or leave it as 'we' define it . the we in this case being the large organization rather than the body of users. this is how microsoft operated , or for that matter, GM and Chevvie , operated until they nearly went under

If you are OK with no plug in's and want 64 bit, Just use Microsoft Edge. I prefer to customise, but soon that will not matter.

I also prefer to have a menu bar that I can call on by pressing the "Alt" key. That is currently not available in Edge and makes finding options abit foreign.

I used IE for years and hated all the negativity from Firefox users. Now I am one of them and doubt I will ever use Edge, but then that is the way I was with Firefox when I was using IE. One thing is certain though, I'll never use Chrome. So if I ever get tired of Firefox, Edge would be my choice.
