Multimedia Audio Controller problems..

In an effort to clean up some space on the C drive, my father deleted "Soundmax", and now we're not getting any sound at all. I tried to reinstall it but it tells me that it can't find the driver. I went into Device Manager and tried to fix it, but it says that it can't install it because it cannot find the necessary hardware.

Please help!

What is the brand and model, or the brand and model of the motherboard? what operating system?

Okay well I'm not sure exactly how to get this information but I used Aida 32,
so hopefully i give you the right information.
Motherboard Id: 63-1904-000106-00101111-102604-I875P$P4CED106
Front Side Bus Properties
bus type: Intel Net Burst
Memory bus properties
Bus type: Dual DDR SDRAM
Chipset Bus Properties
Bus type: Intel Hub Interface.
I'm running it on Windows Xp.

open up the case and look on the motherboard for the make and model #.
