Cruzer flash drive NOT detected by Windows PC This is the only thing I can find. It is from there support site. From just searching. I can see you are not alone in this problem.
Cruzer Edge USB\VID_0781&PID_556B\2005304502188A12A6FE The drivers for this device are not installed.Don't know if I can help but will take a look. What version of Windows are you running? And is it 32 or 64-bit version?
List any Problem devices
- Make sure devices are connected and powered on
- Click Start->Run, enter: msinfo32. Click the + sign next to Components to expand it
- Click Problem Devices. Anything appear?
- If yes, click on it, Ctrl-A to select all, Ctrl-C to copy it, Ctrl-V to paste into next post
- On the other hand, if no devices are listed, tell me so

so here it goes. the original title of thread is exactly my problem.
I just upgraded my 250 gig Samsung 840 ssd using their data migration software, to a 840 1 tb ssd. everything seems to work fine... so a week goes by no problems so I install a buncha programs... (none of which has ever caused this kinda problem before) and then I try to insert my 4gb hp jump drive.... hear the bell but no drive..DMgr shows error 10. cant start device.

Other usb devices seem to work fine, ie usb keyboard, mouse, haupagge tv tuner..etc... just mass storage devices are a no go.
