My rig siezes after I come out of standby. HELP!

Computer freaking out after I wake it from standby. It was working fine for 2+ years, and then the problems started. One example - IE freezes. When I close IE, the process does not end. If I restart IE, there will be 2 processes running for the program at the same time, neither of which can I close. I know lots of posters say this is a crap function, but it sure saves time when I want to check something on my computer quickly but don't want to leave it on all the time.

I'm not sure, but the problem seems to have started about the same time I switched from NORTON AV to Zone Alarm Security Suite.

Switch back to Norton and see what happens. Did you run spyware and virus scan lately?

its a sad day when these av software co's have to right a specail uninstall for there crap
do search and you will find at least 100 link for download of utilitys to remove and instructions to remove the rest as even the special app does not get rid of all of it
it is the server software thats the worst
after your fix if your really want AV get nod32
I got no AV since install bout 10 months ago and no virus yet!!!!!
