Direct X 10

bubble said:
well on the video card that i bought it says that it comes with DirectX10
Did it come on a cd ? Install it,you probably have dx9 now.
and this card needs 10.This might solve your problems.
Then do a Direct X test.
Use the run menu if it's not on the start menu/System Tools
Just type in dxdiag then OK.
Go to your Profile and put in your System Specs, like you see on my posts in blue.

He doesn't need Direct X 10, he needs the correct drivers for his video card; and we have not found out if he has yet with succeeded with the drivers I have given him. Lets give him a second to respond.

ok well i installed everything, and i now have this thing called the BDA Remote on my desktop and in the bottom right corner where my internet icon is, sooo umm what is it? aaand i think the installation went well cause the first time i installed this video card my computer shut off, this time it didnt. lol

Thanks for the help guys

Click Run in the start menu > Enter "dxdiag" > Press Enter

A message box should show up and should show the current Direct X version at the bottom.

Your post is ahead of mine.
He should install the game and DX10 after he gets
his video working properly.
So bubble follow the posts as they arrive.

His video is now working properly, he said it now shows up as HD 2600 like it should. He said dxdiag says DX10 is installed. There's no real need to post anymore since it is fixed now.

but i already had direct 10 installed it came woth the video card, and what do you mean when you say the game?
Is there another way to open something cause this BDAremote is not opening, and the Multimedia Video Controller still has this yellow icon next to it

It's nothing, zipperman just thought you needed help installing a game or something.

If all is perfectly well then you don't have to keep replying.

I do mean the video card, sorry for the confusion.
Run dxdiag and see if all Display items are enabled
Do the tests.

Yeah...Run a direct 3d test in DX diag, as shown here.

ummmm i think something is wrong again sorry.

The file atidxx32.dll,atidxx64,atiumdag.dll,atiumdva.dat,atiumd64,atiumd6a,atitmm64 is not digitally signed, which means that it has not been tested by Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL). You may be able to get a WHQL logo'd driver from the hardware manufacturer. this is what it says in the Display tab in the DirectX Diagnostic tool. I copied and pasted that

It's nothing, don't worry about it, it's just that Vista doesn't know if the driver is recommended by microsoft. I even get that sometimes. Lots of hardware isn't digitally signed. It's nothing serious. Vista is just paranoid.

I also cant test anything, and i have only 4 tabs the system, display, sound, and input tabs are the only ones i have.

Hmm...O right the dxdiag panel must be different in Vista. Well, how else can we tell if it works...
Is your computer less laggy after installing the drivers? Can you switch resoultions?

From the looks of the picture you have vista aero and transparency on which means the video card is probably functioning correctly.
