Be careful what you wish for! AGI's might very well murder us all in our beds when they arrive.

Well.. I certainly wouldn't treat True A.I. like sh#$ for starters. How would I know True A.I. has come along - I don't! My approach is to treat the system as well as I'd treat any human, initially and then go from there. Why make enemies!?

Not design, but copy from the numerous chess-engine implementations that it was undoubtedly trained on.

And I thought I was bad at chess! But at least I remember that the little guys only go forward one or two squares, the pointy one goes diagonally while the tower goes straight, and the horse can jump over other pieces.
