New build, won't boot up

I just bought a biostar motherboard TA880GB+. All new case. Processor Is compatible cause I bought a package deal from new egg. Memmory is DDR3. Got 4GB's of that. And everything else is just standerd. Put it all together. And the comp wont kick on. The fan turns once, and there is a light that flashs on the board like it wants to kick on, but nothing. Can you guys please help?

Hi I have had this problem myself with a new build, it got me bit confused also after a bit of swapping around it turned out to be the power supply if you have a spare give that a swap first and see if it fires up. Mine was a brand new case also.

Did you use motherboard standoffs to avoid shorting the motherboard to the case?
