New build won't stay on?

Hello all.

After looking around on the net i came across this site and after looking in a few post it looks like there is a world of experiance on here so what better place to seek help with my problem.

This is my second scratch build in 5 years and after having no problems with the first i have now come unstuck with the 2nd.

I have put together the following:
MSI P965 Neo mobo
Intel D 820 2.8 GHz Processor
WD 160Gb SATA hard drive
1 Gb PNY DDR2 PC4300
400 Watt PSU
7300GS 256mb Graphics card.

Having followed all documents to make sure i put it together right i come to the testing stage. Switching it on for the first i thought great here we go then off it goes after 15sec's, tried again and again off but this time in about 5-7 Sec's final attempt and off in 2 sec. Dont even have enought time to get into the bios before it switches off

Have racked my brain for days and can see no answer. Have tried resetting comos and it reverts back to 15sec etc. I feel this may be a faulty PSU but not sure if its something else.

Please any help would be welcome.

Hey,Darrenna, what was the problem? I want to say power supply, would I be right?

Maybe it's a faulty PSU because he says it turns off after a few seconds or so..

I guarantee it was the PSU
