Newly built system does not POST

are you using the correct system case? some motherboards are case sensitive ie they require different functions such as softoff sleep mode
and cpu temp monitor or they will shutdown ive had a similar problem

It works!!!!!!!!! thanks to you it works. Man the problem is solved. I retried what you told me to do take it out of the case and bam it works. The first time i tried no luck because i think i didnt replug in the ram. Now i can get into bios and the computer is fine and the processor is working. Thanks a lot huffer you saved my time and computers life. All along it was the case....

for all you out there who decides to buy an intel mobo do not use an aspire case, you will save a lot of money and time.
 
Great! Enjoy. Let me know if you have any more problems. That board has a BIOS that I would have to call not new user friendly. It's very full featured but I could see it might be overwhelming to a first time builder. My last piece of advice. Go to this site. It lists almost every BIOS setting, what it does and the most common settings.
