K kirock Posts: 1,212 +1 Apr 21, 2006 #3 Just in case, check in the BIOS that the drive is still being detected. If the boot sector is damaged then you might try buying a 2nd HDD, installing Windows on it and then accessing the first drive as a slave to recover your data.
