No sound

I just recently reformatted my computer and installed Soundmax, since that was what I had before the reformat, but there is still no sound. Any help would be appreciated.

Uninstall the soundmax driver and reboot. What Operating System are you running?

Is it showing a yellow question mark beside the driver in device manager

Start > Right Click on My Computer > Mange > Device Manager

List should be expanded if so by the way

A common problem if your computer is HD audio (vs. the old AC97 audio): upgrade to SP3 (if you haven't yet). SP3 can fix certain sound problems

Actually, recommend you should be SP3 in any case! (are you?)

Alright well I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it and it still has no sound. I upgraded to sp3 also and that hasn't helped as well. There is also no yellow question marks when I have sound max installed
