Nvidia says over 80% of GeForce RTX GPU owners use DLSS

Right.... Nvidia boasting that people are using that disgusting vaseline effect on textures and every single detail as if it's a good thing makes me lol.

This just shows 2 things...
1) DLSS is on by default and many people have no clue how to tweak their game graphics settings and...

2) People wanted to game at real 4k for years and have no choice but to compromise on a glorified ai upscaler because both amd and nvidia have dropped the ball for generations, selling us trashbin gpus with gimmick features that destroys your moving visuals for a small percentage of fps increase and a massive price increase in the process for that proprietary useless piece of junk die that they call ai tech.

Give us proper cards, not ai accelerators with integrated gpus, so we can finally play real games at real 120 frames at real 4k res on any game at max settings.

Enough with the proprietary and expensive blurry mess that nobody asked for, enough with useless shadow raytracing or water reflex raytracing at 25fps on a 4080.

NVIDIA, AMD...NOBODY ASKED FOR THIS
Enough is Enough.
SPOT ON.

I took a look at five games I recently played where I knew where I had seen DLSS 3 ghosting issues and with the new DLSS 4, the ghosting was gone. The worst I remembered was Star Wars Outlaws when you are on your hover bike going fast you could see ghosting at the bottom of the screen. It is in fact gone in that game and the other four I tried. That's great. It looked better overall.

NVIDIA's claim that over 80% of GeForce RTX GPU owners use DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) highlights its popularity and success among gamers and creative professionals. DLSS leverages AI to upscale lower-resolution images to higher resolutions, offering better performance while maintaining visual quality. This high adoption rate demonstrates the value gamers and users see in achieving smoother frame rates and enhanced graphics, especially in demanding games.

It also indicates that DLSS has become a significant selling point for NVIDIA GPUs, differentiating them from competitors by delivering cutting-edge AI-based features. The claim suggests that users are embracing AI-powered solutions to maximize their gaming and creative experiences, especially as games and applications continue to push hardware limits.
Thanks ChatGPT, I was hoping you'd weigh in on this... again, the numbers are skewed as DLSS is on by default for lots of stuff - and a vast quantity of people never change those settings.

Why use DLSS that causes minor artifacts to a game?, which just lowers the res in anycase, when a person can lower their res themselves without those minor artifacts.
From my quick test 4k DLSS quality had less fps and used slightly more power than 1440p.

The extra frames from DLSS, that you say is so important can be had by lowering the res yourself and you can still add your fake frames to boost that as well, with frame gen.

As I have said above, their display might be set to 4k, but since they used DLSS to hit that high number they weren't gaming at a res of 4k. If I'm not mistaken it was at a res lower that 1440p.
So no, you still haven't seen "high triple digit frame rates at 4k"
You don't have the ghosting, sure, but you have jaggies and pixelation.
