Official Call of Duty: Black Ops trailer released

I am looking forward to this one. I have enjoyed all of the CoD titles. I just hope the single player is good. I am not much into the multi-player. Also should be interesting due to the time period played in. There haven't been any good vietnam era FPS games, at least that I am aware of, especially single player games.
 
Unless Black Ops comes close to perfection which is unlikely I'll be passing this game up. Activision has shown over the years their lack of interest in the PC community, and giving us one dedicated server host with little control is a mockery of the MW2 issue. The Call of Duty franchise is turning into Guitar Hero which has around two dozen games out on the market if not more with lacking quality. I think I'll just wait till Battlefield 3 hits as I'm plenty happy with BFBC2 at the moment even with its issues. Hopefully DICE will be listening to the PC community and actually make a game we want that actually progresses the genre rather then subtracts which seems to be the norm nowadays in gaming.

Since when did Crysis ever advertise "Crysis - The Next Call of Duty" ??
Or "Battefield: Bad Company - The Next Call of Duty"
Hell "Halo Reach - The Next Call of Duty"??

As TomESA said, there has been loads of other Military FPS games! I listed but a few, seriously CoD is only liked by soo many because it spends way too much advertising itself as the best, I will admit that they do have there up moments, but the recent ones haven't really delivered what the trailers try to make you feel.

The last good CoD was CoD2. after then it hasn't really been very good, or at least a better game would have come out from a different dev team but got over shadowed by the hype of CoD.

I seriously recommend a play through Crysis, then a dip into Halo Reach then a romp through any Valve game (although L4D2 and HL2 plus episodes are the best) and I promise you'll put that MW or MW2 disc in, load it up ad realise its actually not that great, at all.

Crysis Halo Reach both very good games, but cant compare when it comes to multiplayer; thats where its at! but hey, just my opinion >:[
 
I wasn't sure about this game when I heard Treyarch were producing it as I didnt think much of World at War. However, this video does look very good. I will wait a couple of months to see the reviews. Also, cannot wait to see Techspot's CPU/GPU requirements as that would be useful to know. My PC can only just cope with MW2!
 
People seem to have really short memories. Everyone is really excited about this game but seems to have forgotten that Treyarch has not made a quality CoD game yet. And there seems to be no sense of loyalty to Infinity Ward at all. I'm definitely adopting a wait and see approach to this game.
 
Looks like it should be pretty good but I'll probably wait until there are some reviews out on it before I buy. I loved COD4 MW but wasn't that big on World at War and MW2.
 
In my opinion the graphics dont even look any better than older CODs, i hope they will be good once we fianally see the release
 
I sincerely hope that trey arch won't be the one to kill the franchise now with infinity ward gone... Looks okay do far but i'm crossing my fingers
 
IMO Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is one of the greatest games Ive ever played (and the best of the CoD franchise). It is so well balanced, not too complicated and just a lot of fun. While the single player campaign of MW2 was really great fun, MP just couldnt match MW1. I think IW lost of lot of respect from PC gamers (myself included) by being too lazy to properly code MP for PC and instead just porting over the console version. Im sure anyone who has played it, with the match making "servers" instead of dedicated servers, will know the frustration of finally finding a suitable game to play in and have it suddenly decide to stop mid-game to find a new host. The other thing that ruins this game for me the was killstreak rewards, which relentlessly rain down from the sky and prevent you from doing much other than dying and waiting to respawn. Somehow COD4 got them fairly right (although they also could be annoying at times), but I guess the MW2 creators figured if a little of something is good, then a lot must be better. Im very hopeful that blackops will be a return to the good old COD4 days with dedicated servers, making it quick and easy to find a game, and just genneral fun. Im also very excited about the cold war setting of the game which hasnt been explored much before and so should create some excellent SP fun too.
 
Will have to wait for the game itself only then we know how much its worth I am not a huge fan of COD because only i like it in multilayer otherwise other FPS out there are pretty good.Graphics seem to a bit let down I am thinking graphics should improve a lot with installment but seems its not the case here.
 
I can't wait to go buy this for my son. I enjoy watching him play more than myself. He is awesome when it comes to this game. A long time ago it was me showing him how to play Halo now he kills me on this game. What happened? I know I got better hand and eye coordination them him.
 
The CoD series is becoming more and more "noobish" with every new game, just watch a black ops gameplay video.
 
Why do people complain about the graphics? It's actually a good thing that they aren't crisis level. BTW i'm also waiting for a good review.
 
If i wasn't playing WOW and SC2 now, I'd also probably buy Black Ops.
Too bad blizzard released their games first! wahahaha
 
What is all the complaining about, BLACK OPS is great. Its what the industry needs. You want fake, go play HALO REACH, that CRAP SUCKKSS and is so boring. Their isn't a better game out their right now, so go a and get BLACK OPS while you can.

You didn't even saw the game, and you're telling us it's great.
 
I hate to be a hater, and I'll freely admit i didn't read this article, but I really don't get the fascination with COD. I thought the very first COD on PC was phenomenal but the modern releases are so overrated. I still think Crysis is a far superior FPS experience.
 
Umm.... I'm pretty disappointed by this trailer so far, i mean it looks cool, but relatively it's only adequate, i just hope that they improve on what they showed us so far cause the other games that are coming out seem so much better, Assassins Creed Brotherhood definitely. Especially since the graphics of Black Ops look choppy but ACB graphics are way better. They better not ruin the series with this, but ill be optimistic because they always seem to come through.
