Opera 11.60 released with a slew of improvements

@Guest above,

I agree. I was a long term user until several months back (might even have been last year, not sure tbh) but when I updated to the latest version of FF (I think it was from 3.x to the new 4.x) it became very unstable. It was constantly freezing and crashing and plugins became a living nightmare. I need Xmarks and LastPass to work 24/7, and when these started messing me around it was time to move.

I moved over to Chrome, and have come to like it even more as the time has passed. So unless Google screw up big time I won't be checking anything else out.

Especially not Opera if you can't move windows between groups like in Chrome. I do that all the time as often have 30+ different tabs open for various different things.

You can group tabs, and move tabs and groups around. It just appears you can't move more than 1 tab to a new window...

Also, your score of 4000 something isn't real useful without other browsers compared on your system. I edited one of my posts in this thread (Post #9) with the results of all the browsers I have on my PC. Unfortunately, I don't have Chrome to test, don't especially want to get it just for the test either.

"Some elements are still rendered incorrectly, it still doesn't support drag and drop in gmail, even though it's html5test score has gone up by a lot, bookmarks are still placed in the wrong order on the personal bar, password maker still has no extension for it (widgets don't count)..."

A lot of time the elements are rendered incorrectly due to the web site author. If they follow standards more than it usually isn't an issue. Gmail... I feel like Google does not care whether it works well in Opera or not or even bothered testing it in Opera. Reminds me of Google Wave...

"Some image heavy pages still scroll very slowly (see space.com ). Still no 64 bit version."
Uhh... how many browsers right now have a 64bit version? I can only think of IE and Palemoon (Firefox) although Chrome should be coming soon according to news. Can't think that's a valid problem right now because it still works darn well even without a 64 bit version.

@ Leedky
How did you get such a high score?! I got 2191 from a fresh install of Chrome 15.

Scores will vary depending on the system that is benchmarked. The benchmark comparison for each system would need to be performed separately with each browser.
