For about a year now, I've been having the problem in which whenever my computer shuts down after being used for about an hour or longer, i got the message "Operating System Not Found" when booting it up. Just recently I have discovered that cooling it down by putting it in front of a fan for about 20 minutes allows it to boot up properly. Is there anything I can do other than get a new or additional fan? And I have checked if there is a floppy or CD in the drive.
My computer is an eMachines T2792. ( 2.7GHz, 256 RAM, 80 GB, Windows XP SP 2. )

Your computer is overheating probably because of dust build-up, loose heatsink or a failing fan. Open the case and make sure all fans working and that your heatsink(s) is/are properly seated.
