Page file usage history?

  1. Hey i got a weird question my main rig is down while evga rma's me my new stuff so im using my small lan box for now, but when i go to my performance tab in my windows task manager instead of showing me the amount of physical memory being used it says page file usage history? why and hoe can i change this ?

    gigabyte board m-atx
    2 gigs or ram
    1 160 western digital hd
    7600 gt graphics card

    Here's the irony

    You have 2Gig of physical Ram installed; but Windows actually uses the Pagefile as the first (and usually only) resource

    Now the Pagefile is actually being taken from your Ram, and possibly a bit more (if 2Gig is exceeded) from your Harddrive space

    But the point being, is that it's the Pagefile that's being used and generally graphed. Not the Ram

    I hope that this helps you understand this process more now :)

    iic i understand that, but is there anyway i can change it all these years of being physical memory used now this! it freaks me out

    It must be the characteristics of the small lan box
    I wouldn't worry about it
