Lately my house has been having a lot of power cuts, pretty much every day, something happens and the mains trips out, still trying to sorce it.
When i put the power back on my pc starts up automatically, even though it was off, but plugged in when the cut occured. When it restarts i have to reset my BIOS (time, date, 1st hard drive, boot sequence). I'm convinced theres nothing wrong with the CMOS battery, as it will keep all details before i started having these problems, and on the odd occasion i can get a few days without a power cut.
