playing the net on the ps2

i was just wondering
i am getting a internet cable for my ps2 so i can play on the net and i was wondering is many ppl played there ps2 on the net coz if they dont it would get boring so if anyone has any info on it i will be pleased to hear from u and will much apprciate it
