Pokémon Go is losing millions of users as popularity declines

The problem is that the game became way too popular way too fast.
One of the main problem is the pokestops location. It's lacking in almost all area that isn't downtown. Leaving alot of player not able to grab balls without being stuck in a pay 2 play system.

The best and most fun way to play the game is using some GPS spoofing. Being able to move in-game and explore stuff that exist in the real world would be much more fun. I would warp to other country and see cool stuff while actually playing a game and finding pokemons in the process. Visiting the same few pokestop on the way to works get old real quick...

Combat system... 90% of the pokemon are completely useless in gym combat. Pokemon element advantage barely make any difference. It's all about CP and special attack. A turn based combat would have been MUCH smoother than this tap the screen as fast as you can madness. Special attack are so clunky to use.. anyone who tried to chain multiple "short" special know what I mean. It's just so much effective to use slow charing and hard hitting special...

How to boost pokemon power is retarded and goes against all pokemon games always been. That candy system is so bad and boring.

No wild pokemon combat...
Broken pokemon tracking system...
Lack of pokemon variety you can catch in the wild. Like 95% of the pokemon you see is either a Pidgey, Rattata, Weedle or Zubat. With the occasional Drowzee, Eevee, Magikarp, Venonat, Paras or Gastly. With the exception of Eevee and Drowzee, 95% of the pokemon you find are useless in gym and are used as XP fodder...

When they add in things like dueling your friends even if just for fun. Fighting the pokemon you capture. Leveling your pokemon by fighting. Local\International\Global tournaments this game will be back to #1.

I disagree with a few things, my electric type jolteon 800 cp brings down 1600 cp vapereons. Element type does matter a lot. I never see gastly, venonat, drowzee, magicarp and I rarely see weedle, zubat. Go to a park by a river and see a plethora of water\grass pokemon.

Geo spoofing ruins the game, the whole point is to go outside and enjoy more then the game itself. I agree with most of what you said though. The game is pretty bland at the moment.

I can see how, for hardcore gamers who've been glued to their game consoles since kindergarten would become bored quickly. For folks who grew up in the dark ages, Pokemon Go is a fun little diversion. I take daily walks, and Pokemon Go is great fun! I'm out on the hike and bike trail longer than before and that's healthy! I'm old enough to to be the mother and, gasp, grandmother to many of the hardcore gamers getting bored by the game.

There are groups of senior citizens with smartphones playing Pokemon Go while out on their daily walks, and these people are older than me!

Perhaps the demographic for Pokemon Go is the casual gamer, a person doing something else with the app open. Niantic should look into reaching out to this demographic, the tech friendly and tech curious adults over age fifty.

As to the app eating up your battery, there are ways to save your battery. I switch off the music and sound effects, switch over to gray scale and never use the AR . I also turn off other apps if I'm going to be out on the hike and bike trail for more than an hour.

And somehow this old woman has managed to take a few gyms, and reach Level 20.

So, if you're a hardcore gamer since kindergarten, don't scoff at Pokemon Go.
