Pornhub exposes the 2019 Android stats that Google won't announce

In brief: Google hasn’t updated its distribution dashboard, which lists how many devices are running the different versions of Android, since May, but an unlikely source has revealed the statistics: Pornhub.

Google had updated its Android Platform Distribution dashboard on a monthly basis, giving us an idea of the speed at which new versions of the OS were being adopted, but there hasn’t been an update in about seven months.

Thanks to Pornhub’s annual ‘Year in review,’ however, we get a rough idea of Android's distribution figures. As noted by Android Police, the site is in the top 50 when it comes to global views (according to Alexa rankings), so its analytics will likely be a good representation.

It's worth noting that Pornhub doesn’t have data on the exact number of devices running the different versions of Android, and the information covers the entire year.

The most popular version of Google’s OS visiting Pornhub was Pie, which came out last year. It took 48 percent of all Android traffic. In second place was 2017’s Oreo (23 percent), and then Nougat (12 percent).

Android 10, or Q, only managed to 2 percent of traffic, but seeing as the figures are for the whole year and it was only launched in September that low number is to be expected, especially as it only reached Galaxy phones over the last month.

A Google source told Android Police that its dashboard hasn’t been updated due to “an unexpected loss of the source of usage data, and that the monthly updates should have returned to a regular pace,” but we’re still waiting. Until then, at least Pornhub offers a satisfying alternative.

#fakepost - they don't have a legal page. I checked...

Bottom of the page on the footer under "information" is "terms and conditions". That's the legal page. Not a surprise, a vast majority of websites have them to lay out the use of cookies, how you may use the content on the website, ect. There is no way any website that specializes in content in not going to have legal pages.

I'm an Xhamster guy myself.
That's actually a site? Wow! Does it specialize in the abuse of hamsters or is it just a play on words?

(Before you suggest I visit, no thanks. Some people actually try to avoid porn. Bad for the mind and the soul.)

Actually I think women, wives in particular, would want their menfolk to avoid porn, since it would "expose", the length some women are willing to go in the realm of creative sex acts.

I'm thinking the reasoning behind it is that, "I wouldn't do that, even for a new washer dryer combo", and be exposed to a ton of body shaming in the process.

You can try to attach whatever you imagine appropriate in the context of morality, but the fact of the matter is, turning tricks is still considered "the world's oldest profession", and that was even before the invention of the camera in all it's forms.

Although a more liberal minded women might consider it a "mind expanding experience".

I don't frequent...or even infrequent sites like this myself. I just don't fancy watching other people having sex. It's kind of the same feeling as pulling a wad (no pun intended) of gum from underneath a table at the local diner and popping it my mouth.
I would be curious to specifically understand your existential comment about how it's bad for the 'mind and soul'.
Please do elaborate.

Well...yeah...[ ]....
OK, I'll take the bait. Where exactly do you draw the line between "porn", and "erotic art"? I kind of enjoy artistic pictures of naked women. But, I do edit sets considerably, preferring to keep what could be considered, "nude environmental portraiture". Like my own photography, I find that there's only 1 or 2 shots worthy of "wallpaper" on a 36 shot roll.

As far as hard core goes, here's a couple of fun facts. Japanese porn is extremely degrading to women, as they are always portrayed as objects of scorn. To me at least, it's more often than not, completely inaccessible

(Some ?). Women supposedly enjoy hard core porn, with a romantic twist, where their emotional needs are being met first, as well as the carnal.

FWIW, the only other species on the planet, (whales and dolphins may be suspect), which indulges heavily in "sex play", is the bonobo chimp, Pan paniscus https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonobo. The common chimp, Pan troglodytes, is more of a fighter. We humans, being "much" more advanced, enjoy both outlets in equal measure.

Thank god!
Seriously I know that was assumed to be bait however, I really wanted to hear about the damage to the "soul" part.

I really don't have a 'line' as it were. I just know what I like. Watching two (or more) go at it just doesn't do it for me....unless pizza is being delivered...anyway I was really more interested in the difference between the damage to the mind and the soul.
Oh hell, maybe it was bait. ?

I'll write you a letter.

I spent some degree time on "Human Sexuality" back in the 70s when it was still exciting. I try to follow the trends and watch the ebb and flow of changes and what is the new 'in thing'. The "soul destroying" comment caught me again. I remember it from some years ago in reference to an article a while back. Capture.JPG
