PS2 memory card not recognised

Hi all

I have saved loads of stuff to my PS2 memory card and been using it ok but now when I try to load a saved game to my console it gives the message 'no data' as if the card is not being recognised by the console.
Does anyone have any ideas how the saved data can be retrieved by some other means? This is desperate!

You cant retrive data from PS2 memory card, it seems that the card has been wiped, did you leave it near any strong magnets because that can wipe them.
