Quicktime update gone wrong

hey when i got my ipod i had to update my quiktime so i dwnloaded it and nw everytime i try to open it it says that its not installed proplerly so i tried to uninstall it because its still in the menu but it says cannot uninstall because it doesnt exist??? i dont have a clue what to do can sum1 help??

Try hooking up the USB connection to your IPod and to your computer. A screen should come up with a refresh button. Press the button and hold for a second or two. This may fix the problem. Did you load all the updated software from the ITunes site before downloading the quicktime player?? Thsi also could have created the problem.
