Radeon 9250, glitches with XP64

Randomly blacks out and comes back up within a few seconds, cursor centered, all windows minimized. Also restarts entire system when attempting to start World In Conflict. Started when the card was momentarily removed while the pc was off for routine dust cleaning. had issues ever since. Nothing was awry before this.

The card may have been damaged by static electricity when the card was removed or the AGP socket has dust down deep... Pull the card and carefully clean the AGP socket again

It's PCI. and when i move it to another slot, it works without the blackout and cursor to center, but it becomes extremely horribly slow. scrolling through folders becomes a heavy chore for it. and also windows says that the vga driver is missing once the card is in a new slot. tried windows update, the original graphics cd, and my windows install disk.
